Governor Gavin Newsom officially signed Senate Bill (SB) 328 (Chapter 868/2019) into law on Sunday, October 13, 2019. SB 328 requires the school day for middle schools and high schools to begin no earlier than 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., respectively, by July 1, 2022.
